Scottish Premiership 2026/27 — Live Streams & Fixtures

The 2026/27 William Hill Premiership kicks off on Friday, July 31, when Dundee United host Rangers at Tannadice in an 8 pm kick-off — Derek McInnes’ first competitive match as the new Ibrox manager. All six opening weekend fixtures are live on Sky Sports for the first time in Scottish football history.

Defending champions Celtic begin their title defence on Monday, August 3, at Celtic Park against Dundee, while Hearts travel to Aberdeen on Saturday, August 1. The first Old Firm derby of the season is at Celtic Park on September 20 at noon, with the New Year clash at Ibrox on January 2, 2027.

Twelve clubs contest the Premiership this season — Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee, Dundee United, Falkirk, Hearts, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Rangers, St Johnstone and St Mirren. The season runs from July 31 to May 16, 2027.

FawaNews streams every Premiership match live and free — kick-off times, team news, and live score updates all in one place.

Scottish Championship, League One & League Two

Below the Premiership, the battle for promotion is just as fierce. The William Hill Championship, League One and League Two all get underway on August 7-8, with BBC Scotland showing selected Championship fixtures throughout the season.

Scottish Championship — 10 clubs fighting for promotion to the Premiership, with Partick Thistle, Livingston, Inverness, Dunfermline, Raith Rovers and others all in contention.

Scottish League One — Third-tier football with promotion dreams alive for clubs looking to climb the SPFL ladder.

Scottish League Two — The fourth tier, where Highland and Lowland League clubs can earn their place through the pyramid.

FawaNews covers results, fixtures and live streams across all four SPFL divisions throughout the 2026/27 season.

Scottish Cup & League Cup

Scotland’s two major knockout competitions run alongside the league all season. The Premier Sports Cup (League Cup) begins in mid-July with the group stage, bringing together clubs from all four divisions in early-season action before the top-flight clubs enter at the last 16 stage.

The Scottish Cup, meanwhile, is the oldest national cup competition in world football. The winner qualifies directly for the UEFA Europa League — meaning every tie from the early rounds carries real weight, regardless of which division the clubs come from.

FawaNews streams both cup competitions live and free across every round of the 2026/27 season.

Highland League & Lowland League

Scotland’s semi-professional pyramid gives clubs outside the SPFL a genuine pathway into the Football League. The Highland League covers the north of Scotland, while the Lowland League serves clubs from the central belt and south. The winners of both leagues meet in a play-off, with the winner facing the bottom club in League Two for a place in the SPFL.

FawaNews covers Highland and Lowland League fixtures and results for fans following Scotland’s lower leagues.

Women’s Football — SWPL 1

Scottish Women’s Premier League 1 is the top tier of women’s football in Scotland, featuring Celtic Women, Rangers Women, Hearts Women and clubs across the country competing for the national title. FawaNews covers SWPL 1 results and fixtures throughout the season.
