There will be two midweek rounds this season — the first on October 28, 2026, and the second on January 6, 2027, during the Epiphany holiday period. International breaks fall from September 21 to October 6, November 9-17, and March 22-30, 2027.

The league features the top 17 finishers from last season plus three promoted clubs from Serie B: Venezia (returning after one year away), Frosinone (back after two years, their fourth promotion to Serie A) and Monza (returning after one year, having won the play-offs under Paolo Bianco). They replace Cremonese, Verona and Pisa, who were relegated.
